Dave Swofford - Civil/Utility Diverse Division Manager
Dave
has been in the construction arena his entire adult life. As a young general
contractor, he began building the foundation of success that has followed
him throughout his construction career.
As a superintendent for Kroeker, Inc many years ago, Dave helped develop the concrete division that served PG&E in most of Northern California. As a result of his obvious leadership skills and his knowledge of the industry, he was offered a position with PG&E. Dave continued to grow with PG&E for 12 years. His progression took him to the Civil Construction Supervisory position with a responsibility for nearly half of PG&E’s service territory.
Dave’s history with our company and the strong relationship he has with the
ownership helped persuade him to return. This return has resulted in the
formation of a new utility division which offers civil and electrical
construction to our customers. He immediately began to push all team members
to use diverse suppliers. We are now able to provide 100% diverse spending
for a project by utilizing WBE, DVBE, MBE, SBE, 8A, and others.
We are fortunate to have Dave back on the management staff. His unassuming style, his ability to create a team concept, and his direct and honest approach to the task at hand make him a valuable asset to the Kroeker family.
Dave loves riding motorcycles, he enjoys hunting and fishing, and values the time spent with his family in their second home in Morro Bay.
John Call - DVBE/SBE Contractor/Supplier
Along
with his 30 years of experience with the construction industry, John brings
a long record of success in the business industry. He attributes this
success to a dedication to “team building” and a focus on a winning attitude
throughout the company.
As a former coach and athletic director in the secondary schools, this team
building and winning attitude have helped him develop several different
businesses into large and profitable companies.
In the role of business development, his many associates and his reputation for honesty and consistency are a natural fit for Kroeker, Inc.
As a general engineering contractor and a disabled Viet Nam veteran, John is part of the growing “Diverse Division” within the company. This DVBE/SBE entity (Veteran Diversified) and its sister company (JC Equipment & Supplies) have joined the Kroeker team to continue to offer complete services to our customers.
He is on the board of directors for the Association of General Contractors, and an advisor to the Construction Industry Crime Prevention Program. As a pilot , he loves flying with wife Angel and children Joe and Mackenzie.
